Winter 2008 Spirit Week

Spirit week kicked off today with a traditional Torch Lighting Ceremony. I was 1 of 25 that was selected to be a torch bearer. I was nominated by my peers and professors because I examplified "The Spirit of Ricks". I will also be attending a special lunchen on Friday where I will find out more specifically why I was nominated and be given a plaque. It was really an honor!

Kristie's Devotional Flowers

For my Floral Portfolio class I had the opportunity to make the Devotional flowers. Devotional is held every Tuesday and the entire school (students and staff are invited to attend). I was very nervous in the beginning but I think they turned out good! Let me know what you think!

Totally Awesome Halloween!

For Halloween the RA's dressed up like the Ninja Turtles. We got the idea from some of our girls that told us we were "Totaly Awesome" and gave us the Ninja Turtle action figures. They picked out who was who. I handed out candy all night to our girls.

Kristie's new ROOMIES!

Hey everyone! College is going great! Here are a few pictures of my new roommates at BYU-I.

In order of the first picture there is: Kimy (California), Ashley (Texas), Michelle (California, she is my room, roommate), Kristen (Californai), myself, and Marisa (California). It's a fun bunch of girls!

I am also the RA (Resident Assistant) at the dorms, so that keeps me super busy. I'm kind of like the mom away from home. I do clean checks, teach (inforce) the Honor Code and housing guidlines, plus work in the office every 4 nights. I also have to take a Student Leadership class.

Speaking of classes, I am taking 15 credits. New Testament, I really love this class because it is so insightful. My other classes are: Plant Science, English 311 (Advance Writing), Flower Identification, and Floral Portfolio along with the Student Leadership class I mentioned earlier.

Here is my address if anyone ever wants to mail me.
