Kristie's new ROOMIES!

Hey everyone! College is going great! Here are a few pictures of my new roommates at BYU-I.

In order of the first picture there is: Kimy (California), Ashley (Texas), Michelle (California, she is my room, roommate), Kristen (Californai), myself, and Marisa (California). It's a fun bunch of girls!

I am also the RA (Resident Assistant) at the dorms, so that keeps me super busy. I'm kind of like the mom away from home. I do clean checks, teach (inforce) the Honor Code and housing guidlines, plus work in the office every 4 nights. I also have to take a Student Leadership class.

Speaking of classes, I am taking 15 credits. New Testament, I really love this class because it is so insightful. My other classes are: Plant Science, English 311 (Advance Writing), Flower Identification, and Floral Portfolio along with the Student Leadership class I mentioned earlier.

Here is my address if anyone ever wants to mail me.

What we did this summer

  • We started our summer off with a visit from Jeff, where we had a picnic and played at Lewisville Park.

  • The Tall Ships docked in Vancouver, where we got to tour them. One of the ships was in the Movie Pirates of the Carribean.

  • The boys each went to their own Scout Camp. Stephen at Camp Curry, Preston at Camp Baldwin, and Matt went Scuba Diving and Sail boating on the Puget Sound for High Adventure.

  • Stephen and Preston each took a friend and we went to the Ape Caves. The Ape caves are over two miles long and was formed from multon lava hundreds of years ago.

  • The family also camped at Fort Stevens State Park, where we went to the beach, went on paddle boats on the Lake, road bikes through miles of wilderness trails, and toured Fort Stevens Monuments.

  • We ended the summer with a Jet Boat Ride on the Willamette River that started downtown Portland and went up to the Willamette Falls.
